WARNING! BADS tickets stolen
In the early hours of Friday 13 March a batch of tickets for our next production, Radio Time, were stolen from the Burton Village Store/Post Office. The tickets were for performances on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March 2009 at Burton Memorial Hall, and were all individually numbered in the range 061 to 090.
Please note that tickets from this batch bought from the Burton Village Store before Friday 13th are legit, just any offered for sale from Friday 13th onwards are not.
If anyone is offered any of these tickets for sale please be aware they are from the stolen batch and report the offer to the Cumbria Police at Kendal on 0845 33 00 247.

What do you want to come and see?
BADS is looking for feedback about what you, our audience, want to come and see.
We know our murder mystery suppers are hugely popular, but what else do you enjoy? Would you like us to do other plays as supper theatre? Do you like being able to sit around a table with a glass of wine rather than in rows? Is it the interaction with the cast you enjoy? Would you like us to do pantomime? How about shows aimed at entertaining children rather than adults?

BADS stalwart retires
At the recent BADS Annual General Meeting Alison Murphy stood down as Chair and producer, and has retired from the company. A vote of thanks was recorded for all her work over the years - Alison has been involved with BADS for 30 years and has been producing plays for 22 of those, so felt the time had come to hang up her hat and enjoy a well-earned retirement.

Stage Crew Required
We are always keen to hear from anyone who wants to work backstage with us. We have a desperate need for people with practical skills, e.g. woodwork, set building, painting and for stage crew.
For help with costume and wardrobe - both making costumes and looking after our collection of costumes. For someone to look after and manage our collection of props.
People who are willing to help front-of-house on performance nights are always welcome also - selling tickets, making tea, running the raffle - all vital roles which need filling.
We should also like to hear from anyone who would like to work with our lighting man, George; this will be especially interesting as we have a raft of new free-standing lighting and a super-dooper follow spot to use, thanks to a National Lottery grant.
Anyone interested in any of the above please do contact us - you'll be welcomed with open arms. |
