Let's Pretend
Let's Pretend  by Vanessa Brooks.Friday 23 & Saturday 24 July 2004

Set in the aftermath of the Maxwell Newspapers' Pension Fund collapse, this play was a challenge for all concerned due to the amount of simultaneous dialogue which occurs. Set in a Majorcan hotel where the monotony of long-stay residents is broken by a staff walkout and the arrival of a younger couple, this 2 act play gave the backstage crew more of a challenge - to create a once-genteel-but-now-faded hotel lounge for Act 1 and a poolside terrace garden for Act 2.

The cast for Let's Pretend was: Alyson Yates, Barry Morgan, Roger Bingham, Jennifer Wetherill, Peter Flanders, Nicola Yates, Rebecca Dudley & Paul Rossi. Producer was Alison Murphy, Stage Manager: Anne Nichols, Props: Paula Firth, Prompt: Bobbie Nunn, Lights: George Isherwood, Make-up: Polly Gabriel, Stage crew: Annette Donnegan, Alex Driver, Alison Flanders & Pauline Walton.
